Stages from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2. Note that some characters share stages, so if one stage was used to one character, the next character will use other stage.


Bishamon's stage, it takes place in front of a ruined, Japanese-style house (abaraya literally means "rundown house"), with quite a few ghostly elements. Bishamon's pet dog, Taro, is rummaging under the futon at the center, coming out at the end of a battle.

Concrete Cave[]

The stage from Jon Talbain, B. B. Hood and Lilith. It is set in front of a subway station entrance in a deserted city.

Deserted Chateau[]

Morrigan's and Lilith's stage. It is similar to Morrigan's original stage from Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors.

Feast of the Damned[]

Demitri's stage, set in his throne room. It is similar to Demitri's original stage from Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, but the servants present are different, two of them watching the match and two dancing.

Forever Torment[]

Lord Raptor's and Victor's stage. It is a torture room, whose main implement is a large guillotine built for three people, with blood still trickling from the stocks.

Green Scream[]

The stage from Rikuo, Q-Bee and Sasquatch. A forest with large carnivorous plants, two of them fighting to eat a reptile.

Red Thirst[]

Anakaris's stage, set in the Sahara desert, near the Sphinx and two pyramids. It is nighttime, with a large red moon visible in the sky.

Revenger's Roost[]

Donovan's stage. It is similar to Demitri's stage, but the room is abandoned, just like Donovan's original stage in Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge.

Tower of Arrogance[]

Felicia's and Huitzil's stage. The battle is set on the wall from a tall building from a big city, with other buildings, a helicopter, and the street (with regular traffic) visible in the background.

Vanity Paradise[]

Hsien-Ko's and Sasquatch's stage. It takes place on what seems to be an island's shoreline, with a high rocky path leading to a small castle built on a rock out at sea. Chinese ladies watch the fight.

War Agony[]

Victor's and B. B. Hood's stage, set in an abandoned city with damaged buildings. Planes can be seen flying over the city.

Iron Horse, Iron Terror[]

The penultimate stage, a train with one eye at the front of the engine, a mouth at its side, and another mouth on its horn. The train's operator is a skeleton that calmly watches the match while smoking. Multiple small eyes open up all over the engine when the fight ends.

Jedah's stage, an uterus-like chamber where the titular Fetus of God (a gigantic, reddish, demonic-looking baby with veins and brains exposed) is being gestated, at the center of Majigen. Every once in a while the fetus will open its eyes, and when a fight ends, everything will shake violently as more nourishment is pumped into the fetus.



  • Unlike previous installments, Vampire Savior's stages are associated with various characters by theming than strictly individualized per character, akin to Street Fighter EX, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Real Bout Fatal Fury Special. Very few characters get their own stage, and if they do, they tend to be boss characters, or get a variation of a stage, or happen to get their own stage by the development team's decision.
  • As with Q-Bee and Huitzil, Vampire Savior's stages are more psychological and surreal in their horror themes than specifically referencing individual character themes in general.
    • The Tower of Arrogance appears to deliberately evoke arcophobia, the fear of heights, by setting the stage at the side of a building.
    • Green Scream appears to try to evoke more primal terror of the natural world, showcasing nature's more savage and merciless side of survival.
    • War Agony is evocative of more realistic and human rooted horror and fear, specifically the despondence and hopelessness of war time and the subconscious fear of total annihilation with political and societal attachments; the drain of color is also evocative of post apocalyptic and war settings found in vintage 20th Century pulp novels and series like The Twilight Zone.
    • Concrete Cave and Red Thirst are evocative of post modern and surreal 1980s and 1990s depictions of the unusual and the fantastical; Red Thirst is further evocative of Capcom's release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, where the vampire Dio Brando must be stopped at his headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, and made use of the same blood red night for its final stage.
    • Vanity Paradise is evocative of the legend of Miao Shan, an incarnation of the Buddhist goddess Guanyin, who was unjustly sent to hell but whose compassion was enough to transform her surroundings into a paradise and set her free by King Yama, the judge of the dead. Alternately, Vanity Paradise is evocative of the mythical island of Penglai, where fantastical treasures such as the Peaches of Immortality are said to grow and forever eternal men and women of divine mastery known as xian exist in its realm, and may be where huli jing, or Chinese succubi live to thrive off of mortals who enter its realm.
    • Abaraya draws upon the feelings of fear and terror in decrypt and abandoned surroundings, where there is no sense of safety or security without human presence. Abaraya further draws upon old folk horror tales like Onibaba and historic records of periods of famine, where it is said demons and cannibals often inhabited abandoned houses and villages.
    • Iron Horse, Iron Terror appears to take inspiration from more psychedelic and nightmarish surreal art, from outsider art and artists like Salvador Dali. Trains upon their introduction into society were also held with superstition throughout the world, being feared as explosive and menacing deathtraps to demonic creations or demons themselves.
    • Fetus of God is evocative of religious creeds throughout the world that the "earthly world" or "that of the flesh" is associated with decadence, depravity, and decline, and will always result in disappointment and despair for those who indulge in its pleasures. Alternately, the stage itself implies more violating and transgressing terrors, drawing upon body dysmorphia and rape to show a violation of existence.
