Dhylec (also know as the Blade of Dohma), is a sword wielded primarily by Donovan Baine. It is a very important weapon as a Dark Hunter, as it is the only weapon that can do significant harm to supernatural beings know as Darkstalkers.
Description
Dhylec is a broadsword with a 'mouth' near the edge. It appears to have eyes, and is known to emit an aura all its own. It primarily levitates behind Donovan, with him sometimes holding the great sword with two hands; other times, he can spiritually command and dictate the trajectory of the great sword.
Origins
According to the UDON Comics, it is implied in the legends
d ththe swordlec was once used in the realm of the Makai to fight against supernatural being who opposed the rulers of Castle Dohma in the UDON comics, even Belial is aware of such a weapon. Later, it ended up in the human world (likelye from a person that was a part of Hsien-Ko's family line), once held by Tibetan monks who guarded it special weapon against those who seek power to rule over the world. A besieged Donovan musters control over the great blade, becoming the Dark Hunter he is widely known for, as he uses this sword to protect the human realm from supernatural being who desire to control humans.
Abilities
Coupled with Donovan's own power as a Darkstalker, Dhylec heightens Donovan's own power, with abilities including but not limited to: conjuring elemenal deities, phasing through targets, and defeated supernatural beings, overwhelming any regeneratvie abilities they have. Dhylec is shown to have a mind of its own as well, following Donovan's command without fail, but complaining if it is planted on the ground for too long, in the realm of Makai, the Sword's magic appears to be even more powerful, as it has the power to harm the nobles of the Makai kingdom, making this sword and effective weapon against supernatural threats.
