For whoever's reading this, is this wiki up for adoption. I notice that it lacks any administrators for quite a while, so it might be needed should anything come to arise. I wouldn't mind doing it myself, but I'd also like to see if there's any other active users that have any interests in doing so.

Darkstalkopedia Discussions
I wish there was a better way to list information about each of the characters or other parts of the series without accidentally (or incidentally) spreading misinformation. Darkstalkers is a series with several adaptations, crossovers and spin-offs that might decide to either mix being accurate to the original story with taking a few liberties or just changing things entirely that things can get confusing for people who might not know that there are several different canons that aren't related to each other outside of being part of the same franchise itself. These mistakes can be made by both long-time fans, newer fans and casual ones and you can't really blame people because even the games are filled with retcons and broken lore/plot holes such as "Is Morrigan's castle in Scotland or Makai", "If being reborn was a reward for Hsien-ko and Mei-Ling after defeating all of the Darkstalkers including Pyron, because that's how they can free their mother's soul, then why does her story in the next game take place after this ending that shouldn't be canon because it was Demitri who won" or "If Anita is meant to be so important to the lore and is DESTINED to become the 'ruler of man' and seems to be the only one who can defeat Jedah for good why should her destiny (along with Donovan/Dee's) be left up to interpretation?" Okay that last one is actually answered because Haruo Murata said that "it would be more fun for the fans that way" and CAPCOM just couldn't decide how to go with their story in the events Vampire Savior as they had multiple planned and there has never been a true definitive ending for them. Still there are so many mysteries in the game's lore that might never be fully answered and these are just a few of them. There's also the fact that accompanied by things on purposely kept as mysteries, there's just obvious plot errors and broken lore like how most the Darkstalkers are meant to be born in a historically accurate time period but Lord Raptor's birth year is way off for someone who was supposed to be a young human rockstar. This would fit in with his older concept as a soldier who died in WWI, but you'd still question why the creators didn't change this since they don't mind retconning other information.
I think the best solution for this type of problem is to list the information from each different form of canon but putting them each into different sections. An example; one section for a character's personality and background in the games, another for their personality in the cartoon, another for their personality in the comics or mangas .etc. Or we can add them in the same section but just do something like this; example: "Lilith's personality: In the game's Lilith's personality is innocent and cheery but in the UDON comics while she still appears to look 'cutesy' she is much more malicious with much more murderous intent." One example of a huge misconception, that even I believed for a long time and is still believed by fans to this day, is that Jon and Felicia have one of the closest relationships in all of Darkstalkers but in the games it isn't confirmed that they have even interacted with each other at all (outside of fights of course) so it's really unknown to what they're relationship is like or could be like. Most people will only even know of Darkstalkers from crossover media and will only be able to be able to expand on the lore of the universe from content outside of the games since the games itself don't give off that much information so it's very common to lead into misconceptions like this.
There is nothing wrong with preferring one canon over the other. But it's best to at least come up with a way to make sure there is a clear separation between them and to not mix them up together. I bet there's lots of lost information about the games we don't know about but it can get confusing when that information gets mixed with different canon from stuff like let's say the comics. Like I said the mistakes are often made by all types of fans casual, new and old so it could just be more of the fact that lot's of information found can be jumbled up with others or hard to understand, people confusing one type of canon to exist in the same as the other and people not knowing there is different types of canons at all than only just people being new to the series entirely. Remember, this isn't just the Darkstalkers games wiki but the Darkstalkers everything wiki so everything Darkstalkers that's officially licensed by CAPCOM themselves should be listed on the wiki. Even if you don't want a continuity to be listed that doesn't mean it should not be listed or even mentioned at all just don't try and mix the canons with each other.
If anyone wants to discuss this more or has an idea on how to fix stuff like this comment below.
why morrigan is so goddamn bad portrayed in the comics? the people of UDON knows the character? there is no a interview where they explain WHY they change her personality like that?
The new game footers are brought to you by Encyclopedia Gamia and our very own Games Hub. The basic goal is simple: draw together Wikia communities in one location that enjoy the same genres and hopefully expose them to some new games and communities they might be interested in. Our secondary goal is to try and connect editors looking for help with members and administrators from other wikias who are interested in helping them out, whether it be with content, technical knowledge, or insight gleaned from running a community.

How do I get my site included in the Wikia games footer?

If you haven't already been approached, feel free to include your site in the submission section below in the genre you feel is most appropriate for the game you cover. Note that, with rare exception, a game should only be placed in one footer.

Here are some other things to consider:

- A member or members of the site should be willing to help those that might ask for assistance in creating their own wikia. Obviously this is at member discretion; members aren't absolutely required to answer every request for help, nor should they if the query is unrealistic and/or no one has the know-how.
- Any site participating in the footer will have a page created on the Games Hub for their franchise for more exposure. Members are encouraged to double-check this entry once it is live and may take ownership of the page.
- Any site participating in the footer will have each individual game in their franchise created on Encyclopedia Gamia for more exposure. Members are encouraged to double-check these entries once they are live and may take ownership of the pages.
- Backgrounds are transparent and links/text are set to match the site's settings.
- The new footers are mobile-friendly.
- Though intended to stretch the entire width of a main page, the footer can also fit into the left rail, if so desired.
In most cases a game can fit into multiple categories, so the best should be chosen when possible that most closely matches the genre. Rogue-like games, for instance, aren't included because many games feature stealth elements. Instead, they can be found within the Action-Adventure footer.

Should the situation arise where another footer is potentially needed, one may be created, but only if 1) the genre can't be included in any other category and 2) there are enough games for the footer.

I already have a footer.

For footers that were created and maintained by Wikia staff, these will be replaced with the new footers.

Footers created by users will not be touched at this time.

Submit your site!

- Be appropriate to Wikia's policies and in general clean.
- Keep on subject of Darkstalkers or this wiki. Comics, TV and anything else still relating is perfectly fine.
- Not be be over 10 lines/vote-able options. If an idea is really good, I'm okay with letting it slide.
